About Us - Grant Line Garden Center

The history of grant line garden center & nursery started with a mix of lawn & landscape services with flower & vegetable greenhouses.

The lawn & landscape service was conceived in the early 70’s when the Stumler brothers branched off of the Stumler family fruit and vegetable farm.  After several years in the lawn service industry, the family roots of farming and nurturing plants was missed.  With much thought and consideration, the Stumler brothers felt that a greenhouse business with a garden center would satisfy the need of farming.

The flower & vegetable greenhouse business that went by the name of North Side Greenhouse (then was the north side of new albany) dates back to the 40’s.   From the 40’s to late 70’s, production from the greenhouse consisted of growing flowering plants and vegetable plants for the local community.

In November of ’79 the Stumlers acquired the greenhouse business on contract and developed the operations into what is now Grant Line Garden Center & Nursery.
Today, we are open twelve months a year and stock shrubs, trees, flowers, cacti, houseplants, gardening supplies and gift items in our gift and garden shop.

Our lawn and landscape services have matured into a design, installation, maintenance, and grounds service.
